FCQ has been hosting annual conferences across Queensland for several years, fostering a vibrant network of financial counsellors, capability workers and sector stakeholders. These events have significantly contributed to the professional development of financial counsellors and capability workers while strengthening connections within our sector.
The primary objective of our annual conferences is to address the current financial challenges faced by consumers, develop effective strategies to support them and promote the continuous training and professional growth of financial counsellors and financial capability workers in QLD.
Additionally, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of financial resilience and wellbeing within the community of QLD.
The 2027 Conference Announcement
We are delighted to announce that the 2027 Annual State Conference will be held from Tuesday 16 March to Thursday 18 March at the Pullman Brisbane King George Square. Please note, Tuesday is a Members Only Training Day.
We are thrilled to commence the conference with a special pre conference workshop on Monday 15 March for the Murri Connection Group. This dedicated session recognises the importance of providing professional development in a culturally safe and supportive environment for First Nations members. Through shared learning, discussion and connection, participants will have the opportunity to build knowledge, strengthen networks and contribute to the ongoing growth of our sector.

Partnership
The generous contributions of our partners allows FCQ to continue to provide relevant and timely training and professional development opportunities to our members throughout the year. This is vital for our sector with many workers isolated from their peers due to geographical spread.
Historically the support of our partners helped to rebuild the membership base following the devastating loss of state government funding in 2014.
