Insurance plays a critical role in financial wellbeing, yet many clients are unaware of the range of policies they hold, may be entitled to, or may need. This professional development session will give financial counsellors and capability workers the tools to support clients in understanding their insurance options, obligations, and rights, and when to refer to a legal organisation. Particular attention will be given to superannuation, motor vehicle, life, income protection, home and contents, and funeral insurance, as well as the legal and government frameworks that protect consumers.
