Rachael joined the FCQ team in 2023, where she plays a vital role in enhancing the organisation’s capacity. She is responsible for developing, integrating, and managing essential systems related to operational activities, policy reform, communications, and IT infrastructure.
With a strong background in the financial services sector, Rachael holds a Bachelor of Economics and postgraduate qualifications in community development. Her passion for financial counselling was ignited during her volunteer work at a local community centre, a path she has enthusiastically pursued ever since.
Before coming to FCQ, Rachael worked as an accredited financial counsellor and supervisor, where she also served on the FCQ management committee. She is dedicated to fostering relationships with members and stakeholders, advocating for the sector, and striving for socially just outcomes.
In her free time, Rachael enjoys staying active through pilates and yoga, savouring dark chocolate, and relaxing with her family.
