FCQ is the peak body and professional association representing over 200 financial counsellors and capability workers across the vast landscape of Queensland, spanning the coastline, cities and remote communities.
FCQ provides support to our members and their employing agencies who assist vulnerable community members navigate an increasingly complex financial landscape.

What We Do:
- Develop and maintain standards of service which are consistent with the policies as laid down by the Association.
- Develop comprehensive professional development support and networking strategies for our members.
- Manage and regulate membership of financial counsellors.
- Assist financial counsellors to meet the ongoing requirements necessary for agencies to maintain their regulatory exemptions.
- Oversee compliance with national standards.
- Host an annual conference focused on key issues for members and partners.
- Advocate for the sector with industry and government.
- Support the development of working groups and regional networks.
- Advocate on behalf of consumers facing financial hardship.
